Terms & Conditions

These terms describe expected use of MISLend for managing UCC MIS equipment. They work alongside, and do not replace, applicable University of Caloocan City and department policies.

Effective Date: October 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing in to or using MISLend, you agree to follow these usage terms and the instructions provided by authorized UCC MIS staff. If you cannot comply, do not use the system and contact the department. Applicable University and department policies take precedence where they address a matter not covered here or conflict with this operational guidance.

2. User Eligibility

  • Authorized accounts: Access is for users authorized by the UCC MIS department. Registration may require identity and eligibility review before borrowing features are enabled.
  • Account security: Keep your password private, use your own account, and notify an administrator if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • Accurate details: Provide truthful account and transaction information, and keep your profile information current.
  • Account status: Administrators may approve, reject, or suspend access in accordance with applicable institutional procedures.

3. Equipment Borrowing Rules

  • Requests and approval: Submit complete and accurate borrowing details. A request is not approved until the system or authorized staff confirms approval. Do not take equipment before it is released to you.
  • Authorized use: Use borrowed equipment only for the approved purpose and in accordance with staff instructions and applicable campus rules.
  • Care and return: Keep equipment secure, return it by the agreed time, and follow staff directions for handover. Do not transfer it to another person without authorization.
  • Verification: Staff may verify the borrower's identity and the item's condition during handover or return using the department's established process.

4. Late Returns

Return each item by the agreed time. If you need an extension or expect a delay, contact the equipment administrator as early as possible and wait for confirmation before relying on a changed return time.

  • Records: MISLend may record requested and actual return times and overdue status as part of the transaction history.
  • Follow-up: Staff handle overdue items and any consequences under applicable UCC MIS and University policies. This page does not set fines or promise a particular penalty.

5. Damage & Loss Responsibility

Check the item's condition and included accessories when it is issued, and tell staff promptly about any damage, fault, or missing part. Follow the department's instructions during the return process.

  • Reporting: Provide an accurate condition report and use the incident reporting feature when available. Contact staff directly if the feature is unavailable or the matter is urgent.
  • Assessment: Authorized staff determine the next steps for repair, replacement, or responsibility under applicable institutional policy.

6. System Usage & Conduct

  • Acceptable access: Do not bypass security controls, impersonate another user, interfere with the service, or access information you are not authorized to see.
  • Accurate records: Do not falsify borrowing, return, incident, feedback, or profile information.
  • Respectful communication: Use support and messaging features only for relevant, lawful, and respectful communication.

7. Limitation of Liability

MISLend is an administrative tool and may be unavailable or display delayed or incomplete information. Confirm equipment availability, approval, release, and return directly with authorized staff when necessary. The University and department policies govern responsibility for equipment and records; nothing on this page limits rights or obligations under applicable law or institutional policy.

8. Amendments

These terms may be updated as the system and applicable procedures change. The effective date above will be revised when the text is updated. Users should review this page periodically; significant operational changes may also be communicated through official department channels.
