MISLend Documentation
Learn how students, professors, and administrators use MISLend to manage equipment requests, returns, inventory, accounts, and incident reports.
Student Guide
Sign in with the account registered for you. Borrowing access depends on your account status and the equipment office's approval process.
Open Sign In and use the email address and password associated with your MISLend account. Your role determines which dashboard opens.
- Account Status
A pending account must be reviewed by an administrator before you can use restricted borrowing features. If your status remains pending, ask the MIS equipment administrator to check your registration.
- Find Equipment
Open Browse Equipment to review the inventory and its availability. Availability can change while a request is being reviewed.
- Borrowing and returning
Choose an available item, submit the borrowing details requested on screen (such as purpose, room, and expected return time), and check the request status in My Borrowed Items. A request is not confirmation that equipment has been issued; wait for staff approval and handover.
When returning equipment, follow the return flow and accurately record its condition and any notes. Keep the item until staff confirm the return is complete. Report damage or missing accessories to staff promptly.
- QR Convenience
Open Scan QR Code and allow camera access when prompted. A scan identifies the equipment; complete the on-screen request or return steps and wait for the system or staff to confirm the result.
Admin Guide
Administrators manage inventory, user access, borrowing requests, and operational records from the admin dashboard. Only perform actions within your assigned authorization.
- System Overview
The dashboard summarizes inventory and activity. Counts reflect the latest data loaded by the application.
- Equipment Management
Add or edit equipment details and availability carefully. Use the QR action to create a code for an inventory item when available, and verify the printed label identifies the correct item.
- User Approvals
Review pending registrations in Users. Confirm identity and eligibility using the department's normal process before approving or rejecting a request.
- Data Export
Use the available borrowing and audit records for authorized operational purposes. Treat exported files as confidential and store or share them only through approved institutional channels.
